Scene Study workshops allow you to spend time working with a scene partner on a scene from a play: analyzing the text, understanding the playwright's intention, making interesting and dramatic choices, learning to give to your scene partner to make the work better.

J Marcus Newman (acting coach), has taught at San Diego State University, Southwestern College, MiraCosta College, Pacific Grove Performance Group and privately in San Diego.

Marcus was first exposed to the components the pursuit of excellence at the High School of Music and Art (“Fame”).  His theatre training continued at Syracuse University and at CalArts where he earned his MFA in theatre. Marcus has a new play in production that will be coming out soon.
